Attention to MALAYSIAN DRIVERS!

It's a common problem in Malaysia when many of us just so lazy to turn on the signal or turn on the signal a bit too late. I agree with the advice in the photo above as I myself has encountered many incidents when I almost hit another car because the driver forgot to turn on the signal when he wanted to turn at an intersection. If it's a busy road, then the risk is higher especially when there's a blind spot. 

So, what can we do?

• Just don't forget to turn on the signal 100 feet before you turn at an intersection/junction. 
• Turn on the signal few minutes before you change the lane on the busy road or highway. 
• Turn on the signal few minutes before you want to stop at the road side.

Rintihan seorang ibu: Jom kita bantu. (BM entry)

Memang selalu juga ternampak kisah2 sedih dan menyayat hati bila tengok anak-anak kecil sakit terutamanya yang masih bayi. Kali ni, saya nak kongsi tentang rintihan seorang ibu ni. Dia mintak kita sama2 doakan anaknya yang sakit. Jom kita sama-sama doakan supaya anaknya cepat sembuh.

Saya Rohaiza Bte Ishak. Saya merupakan guru Kemahiran Hidup di MRSM Muar. Tujuan saya menulis email ini ialah untuk memohon belas kasihan dari pembaca kerana anak kedua saya yang bernama NurHannah Bte Mohamed Helmi berusia 3 bulan tidak sihat.

Ketika bersalin, anak saya lemas kerana tali pusat keluar lebih kurang 40 minit sebelum saya bersalin. Ini menyebabkan anak saya lemas kerana tidak mendapat oksigen kerana tali pusat sudah terkeluar.

Apabila doctor scan (MRI) otak anak saya, doctor menyatakan bahawa anak saya terencat akal kerana sel-sel otak telah mati kerana kekurangan oksigen.

Hanya Allah yang tahu apa yang saya rasa ketika itu.

Kaki bagaikan tidak jejak ke bumi. Muka saya pucat bagaikan tiada darah lagi. Hampir 3 minggu saya mengambil masa untuk terima hakikat apa yang doctor terangkan mengenai anak saya. Hari-hari saya menangis. Saya rasakan hati saya kosong.

Selepas 3 minggu saya cuba berkongsi masalah dengan teman sekerja. Semangat saya mula datang apabila ada rakan yang mengalami situasi yang sama seperti saya iaitu anak mereka lemas ketika bersalin. Doktor juga menyatakan anak mereka terencat akal. Tetapi kuasa Allah mengatasi segalanya dan anak mereka alhamdulillah sihat. Tetapi saya akui bahawa saya hanya insan yang lemah.

Kadang-kadang saya kuat, kadang-kadang saya lemah sangat.

Rakan menasihati saya agar perbanyakkan solat hajat, baca yassin dan bersedekah. Alhamdulillah. Saya melakukan semua nasihat yang mereka berikan.

Perkembangan terbaru tentang anak saya ialah dia masih lagi belum boleh menghisap dan menelan. Minum susu menggunakan tiub yang dimasukkan terus ke perut. Suction machine pula digunakan untuk menyedut air liur kerana anak masih tidak boleh menelan.

2 minggu lepas anak dimasukkan ke hospital kerana jangkitan kuman pada paru2. Ketika itu keadaan anak terlalu lemah menyebabkan doctor sukar mencari urat anak. Pilihan kedua ialah masukkan line hingga ke tulang.

Sekali lagi anak saya diduga iaitu selepas 3 hari kaki anak bengkak. Apabila doctor buat x-ray, rupanya kaki anak saya patah kerana dicucuk ketika memasukkan line. Pergerakan anak saya tidak seaktif bayi kerana kesan kurangnya oksigen di otak ..tambahan pula kaki kanan anak bersimen.

Hanya Allah tempat saya mengadu. Jika boleh, biarlah saya yang menanggung semua kesakitan itu, bukan anak saya yang berumur 3 bulan. Minum guna tiub, tak tahu menelan.kaki pula bersimen.

Kalian bayangkanlah bagaimana perasaan seorang ibu yang menjaga janin dalam kandungan bagaikan menatang minyak yang penuh. Tetapi selepas lahir, begitu besar ujian untuk anak saya. Terus terang saya katakan bahawa ini adalah ujian yang maha-maha besar dalam hidup saya. Saya bersyukur kerana Allah menguji saya kerana Dia sayangkan saya dan anak.

Dikesempatan ini saya memohon, merayu dan menagih simpati agar kalian dapat meluangkan masa untuk melakukan sembahyang hajat agar kesihatan anak saya pulih dan jauhkanlah anak saya dari sebarang kecacatan.

Andainya terlalu berat permintaan saya, bacakanlah Al-Fatihah. Jika permintaan ini juga berat, cukuplah kalian mengucapkan INSYAALLAH agar anak saya sihat, dijauhkan dari kecacatan dan dipulihkan kerosakan pada otaknya.

Mudah-mudahan dengan keikhlasan kalian, doa kalian dimakbulkan. Hanya Allah yang mampu membalas budi kalian.

Solat Hajat

1) Niat Ushalli sunnatal hajati rak'ataini lillaahi ta'aala.

2) Tiap-tiap 2 rakaat sesudah membaca al-fatihah, baca Ayat kursi 1x, dan Kul huallah huahad sebanyak 1x.

3) Sehabis salam yang terakhir, sujud semula. teruslah meminta hajat kepada Allah dengan khusyuk.Insyaallah Allah makbulkan.

Teacher's Day: First experience as a kindy teacher.

Happy Teacher's Day to all my ex-teachers. I know it sound so cliche' when everybody wishes Happy Teacher's Day on FB today but as long as they sincerely want to send the wish to show appreciation, there's nothing wrong with that. It only gets out of hand when some teachers tarnish the profession by asking and demanding certain kinds of gifts from their students. Parents who feel so obliged to their children's wish would feel uneasy when they have to spend extra just to make their children feel happy. 

I myself is a teacher who was trained to teach secondary school students. I taught in Maahad Muhammadi (P) in Kota Bharu, Kelantan for 3 months during my practicum. After I graduated, I taught university students in Engineering Campus USM in Nibong Tebal for 5+ years. in 2006, I moved to KL and taught in ELS, KL. Now, I'm teaching in my own kindy near to where I live.

There are also so many of family members who are teachers including my late mom. So, teaching profession is considered apart of our life. I grew up hearing so much about teachers' life. Yet, I still choose to be a teacher.

My first experience as a kindy teacher today?

It was a fairly simple celebration. I bought an orange butter cake for the teachers and the children. We shared the cake during their break time and then some students gave us some presents like a mug for each teacher, brooches and chocolate. I never expect anything from the students and just felt happy to have another kind of experience as a teacher!

Happy Teacher's Day to all of the teachers out there. Let's give more to our students without expecting them to give us anything back in return.

Don't tell me to top up with FM!

Last Monday, I had to bring Husna to UMMC for the appointment in Pediatric Clinic. It's just a follow up appointment after Husna was warded for 3 days because of Pneumonia . Alhamdulillah the chest x-ray showed that there's nothing wrong with Husna. She's perfectly fine now. The doctor was concern more about her weight now as according to her she is slightly under weight. She asked about Husna's diet and also her other progresses. Since Husna is 11 months old now, she should be more than 7 kg. But Husna is only 6.6 kg. The difference is only 0.4 kg and the doctor asked me to consider topping up EBM (Expressed Breast Milk) with FM (Formula Milk)! I was not happy hearing the suggestion as I want to BF and give the EBM until Husna is 2 without topping it up with FM.

When I came back, I discussed with my husband and we also asked my MIL's opinion. My MIL told us not to worry so much about Husna's weight as she's so active and she eats well. Soon she's ll gain some more weight but she doesn't need to be so chubby if that's what doctors and nurses want to see. I'm so baffled up with nurses and doctors who can't really see the connection between the petite baby and her skinny mummy (yes now I'm quite skinny with 50 kg and my height is about 162 cm).

Candy Crush Saga: New Addiction.

I used to be addicted to some games like Cafe World and Farm Ville on FB. But that was about 2 years ago. Now I don't really want to waste my time by playing any games because I have other better things to do. Plus when you are addicted to something, you tend to think about it and will always try to find time for it  even though you still have to do other important jobs.

The latest craze of online game is the Candy Crush Saga. If you don't know or never heard about it, you are safe. hehe. It's better not to be addicted to another, I would say lame game.Here is what I found from WIKIPEDIA:

Candy Crush Saga is a video game for smartphones and Facebook that was released on November 14, 2012.^[1] It was developed by King.com. As of March 2013, "Candy Crush Saga" surpassed FarmVille 2 as the most popular game on Facebook, with 45.6 million average monthly users.^[2][3] It is a variation on their browser game Candy Crush.
 
 The game is a variation of "match three" games such as Bejeweled. Each level has a different shaped grid filled with candies of three to six different colors and sometimes obstacles. The basic move of the game consists of swapping two candies' positions to align sets of three of the same color, whereupon they disappear, causing candies above them to collapse into the space left behind, often resulting in chain reactions. Moves and alignments must be horizontal/vertical. The level's objectives must be met before the player runs out of moves (or time on timed levels); in each case, the player must earn enough points to get the first star (out of 3) in the scoring system.

Some of my family members (my sister in-laws) have invited me to play this game but I've choose to decline the sweet offer. They seems to have something in common when they have a chat about the game during my MIL's birthday celebration. That's actually when I came to know about this game!

I think I better fill up my free time by paying attention to my daughters especially Husna who is 11 months old and has learn to stand on her own. Soon she'll learn to walk and run! Based on the previous experience of my own addiction to Cafe World & Farm Ville games on FB, I know now to avoid from any kind of games that will make me glued to the computer.

Kelantan selalu digelar negeri miskin kan. Takpe. Kami tak pernah rasa berkudis pun dengan gelaran tu sebab hakikatnya hanya orang-orang Kelantan dan yang pernah duduk di Kelantan tahu hakikat sebenar. Lagipun 'kaya' tu banyak dari sifat materialistik. Kalau 'kaya' yang sebenar definisinya lagi mendalam.

Gwiyomi/Kwiyomi for Teachers' Day Celebration?

Giyoumi/Kiyomi is the latest of viral craze over YOU TUBE. There are already so many parody videos and many people find it so cute.

WHAT is Gwiyomi? I was clueless about this as well until I saw some videos uploaded by some of my friends on FB. I didn't even watch the video until the end as I couldn't see what's so cute with all of the actions.

The Gwiyomi Song, or Kwiyomi Song (귀요미 송), is a K-pop single by South Korean singer Hari and was released on February 18, 2013. It was inspired by a gesture from rapper South Korean Jung Ilhoon of boy group BtoB. The gesture is called 'Gwiyomi Player', which became an Internet meme in October 2012 followed by its first appearance on South Korean reality show by SBS MTV named MTV Diary. The gesture has also inspired many Asian netizens to upload their own versions onto the internet.

Yesterday, my eldest daughter came back and told me that her teacher has asked her and her friends to perform the Gwiyomi Song for the upcoming Teachers' Day Celebration. The teacher changed the lyrics like this:

Now, I'm not so sure why the teacher wants the children to perform that song. I just feel a little bit uneasy about the meaningless performance and it doesn't really teaching the children to appreciate the teachers. Teachers Day Celebration should include fun things but they also should be meaningful and teaching the children to appreciate teachers. Right?
