I miss all of you too and INSYAALLAH I'll actively blog back soon................

Salam,

Last time I wrote an entry was last Sunday. Yeap, I know some of you have been missing me. (betul kan. terharu2. hehehe.) As I've stated before, I'm having some troubles to go online now as I have to borrow my SIL's laptop and then I only can use the internet only after my princesses go to bed. So sometimes, I felt too sleepy and I decided to just go to sleep.

Tomorrow, my hubby will arrive from NZ after almost a month he was there on his own. We (my daughters and I) can't wait to see him again. Fathini has already made a special card for her papa to welcome him back.  My hubby has bought for me a note pad that I can use to do my work (I'll be back to work by next week) and of course I can use it to blog actively again! Provided that I have to buy a broadband service too.

Talking about missing, just now I watched the first episode of "Imam Muda".  If last week I somehow condemned Akademi Fantasia, this week, I have to applaud ASTRO for this new and excellent program. As I watched their first task of learning how to manage a muslim's body  from  the  process of bathing , dressing until the last process at the graveyard, I can't help myself when I thought about my late mum. I always wish that I could have the chance to help managing her body after she passed away because I remembered during my late grandma and great grandma passed away, I watched every step and helped with the preparations. My late great grandma was actually among the people who was well versed in managing dead bodies and she used to teach us a little bit about what we need to know. I didn't really gave attention at that time as I was only a child.

If this Imam Muda program is going to inspire a lot of young Muslims ( for me not just for the young men but also young women), then ASTRO is doing an AMAZING JOB! KUDOS to them. Now, if only there's a specific program for young women to inspire them to be good MUSLIM too. Hmmm what I mean is something that can teach Islamic values and show the best role models. What say you?

Konsert akhir Akademi Fantasia 8 hambar? Atau AF dah hilang sengat?(BM entry)

Salam semua,

Semasa  semua peserta membuat persembahan,  muzik  terlalu kuat sehingga kadang2 menenggelamkan suara mereka.

Mungkin adala beberapa orang yg masih bergiat aktif. Yg lain2 kebanyakannya berlakon drama atau menjadi pengacara radio. Soalan2 yg selalu berlegar2 di kepala saya, SAMPAI BILA RANCANGAN INI AKAN DIBUAT? SAMPAI BILA ASTRO NAK MENGGALAKKAN REMAJA2 KITA MABUK DALAM RANCANGAN HIBURAN DAN MENGGALAKKAN MEREKA SEMUA BERANGAN2 UNTUK KAYA CEPAT DALAM BIDANG HIBURAN?

Kalau semua nak jadi penyanyi? Siapa yg nak mengisi kerja2 atau profesyen2 kritika yg lain?

Bahana lama tak urus hal2 kereta sendiri. (BM entry)

Salam,

Ramai yg rindu tak ni? hehhe perasan pulak. Lps tu punyalah cuba nak idupkan kereta tak idup2. Mula2 panik, lps tu masuk rumah fikir apa nak buat dan nak minta tolong dari siapa. Nasib baik, bila sms adik yg dok belajar kat Bangi, dia sanggup dtg utk tolong. Mula2 dia buat "jump-start", tak boleh. Lps tu, bila dia tanya ada isi air bateri tak? Barulah saya teringat yg saya dah tersilap besar pergi isi dgn air biasa! Mengeleng2 kepala sambil tergelak adik lelaki saya dengar. Lama jugak dia hantar sbb dr pkl 2 pg hingga pkl 5 baru siap. Alhamdulillah, bila dia masukkan balik bateri dan isi air bateri, kereta saya dapat dihidupkan balik.

Ada sesiapa yg pernah alami situasi mcm tadi tak? Saya ni boleh dikatakan kalau bab2 kereta, selalu lps tangan je. Masa bujang selalu minta tolong abah atau adik2 lelaki. Dah kawin, minta tolong suami pulak.

Okay, terima kasih sbb sudi baca pengalaman saya ni. Kalau ada yg senyum sorang2 depan pc tu saya fahamla kenapa. hehehehe. MALU............

About Awards and Tags

Salam,

I'm so hounoured to received awards and tags from the other bloggers. It's just that at the moment, I'm still struggling to fit in with this new life arrangements. As we (my kids and I) are still waiting for my hubby to come back to Malaysia, we are currently in the state of waiting and waiting. huhu sampai nak balik Kelate jupo abah dgn adik2 sano pun tokleh lg I'll try to do the entries for the awards and tags next time especially when my hubby come back as he has already bought me a note pad. So, I don't have to borrow my SIL's laptop anymore. bukannya my SIL kedekut pun dia punya lappy tapi tak selesalah asyik nak pinjam dia punya je kan BTW, at the moment, I'm a bit stressed when Fathini complained that she's tired and she seems uninterested to go to her kindy because all she does was writing phonics and numbers. huhu. I pity her and she was a bit stressed when she had to bring back some homework today. Frankly speaking, I'm considering about homeschool right now if Fathini's still not happy.

A new beginning for Fathini& a bit of other stories.

Salam to all,

I want to tell and share a little bit about what happened during the 1SK-MBP Family Day yesterday(9th May 2010) but it won't be good to share without any photos. Since I'm still having some problems in uploading photos, I have to keep it for later. nanti mesti dah basi tapi takpela kan The most interesting thing was to meet the other bloggers like Little Mama, all the other committee members Nia, Fid, Anna, Zam, Sharina, Tifa and others mintak mahap sbb ramai juga nak sebutkan di sini . Right, I'll tell more in the other entries after I got some photos to illustrate my entry. Okay.

For this entry, I just want to tell that finally I've decided to send Fathini to the nearest kindy. The principal seems so nice and she's willing to give one-to-one session to Fathini before she can join the 5-year-old class. I hope she'll catch-up soon and by the time she come back, I'll let her play with Hafizah, so she won't feel pressured and bored. At the moment, I don't have much choice but to go with the flow. I pray that Fathini will make herself comfortable at her school and soon she can make friends. My hubby has asked me to take a lot of photos of Fathini as tomorrow is going to be her FIRST DAY at school. She never learns from a teacher before as she used to learn from me and other momies at Peachgrove Playcentre and we never really have a timetable or specific subjects for the kids.

I know that it's already a day later but I still want  to wish Happy Mother's Day to my MIL. Last year, I composed a poem for my late mum on Mother's Day. But this year, I was too busy at the family day. tapi masih teringat pd muloh ma yg sentiasa dirindui Happy Mother's Day to my Sis, Yatie Chomeyl,Mok Ngoh, Mokcik, Cik Yoh, Cik Mah, Cik Zah, CIk Na, CIk Lah and all the wonderful mommy bloggers especially to those who like to come here and read my entries.

Tuition for pre-school children???

Salam to all,

As I'm still in the hunt to find the best kindergarten for Fathini, I can't help but to share what I've discovered. mungkin yg lain2 dah lama tahu tapi ni mmg baru utk saya When I visited one of the famous kind around Kelana Jaya, I was told by the manager that Fathini might need to attend an after school sessions! (I guess it's just another name for tuition). I was quite shocked to hear that as I don't think Fathini is so far behind the other 5-year-old kids. Well, maybe she's not so familiar with BM, Mathematics or Science (according to pre-school syllabus), but insya allah after a proper guidance and of course I'm wiling to do my share of coaching her too, she'll be able to catch-up. This so called a famous kindy is willing to say that some children are weak students and they need some more drilling practices. For me, they just want to charge the parents more! mmgla kami berkira sikit duit tapi bila fikir2 balik pun, mmg mengarut sgt2  Of course I'm not going to reveal which kindy but I guess there are other private kindy that suggest the same thing.

I really don't understand why do we need to rob the fun of being children by forcing our kids too much nowadays. It's not totally the parents' faults as the syllabus come from the ministry. I'm actually worried that I myself would do the same thing to Fathini just to make sure she won't be left behind. huhu.

I thought I'm the only one who think that the syllabus is too much. When I visited another kindy cum nursery, the owner of the place shared my view too. I really prefer her approaches as she integrated all the subjects and also Islamic teaching. It's just that the place doesn't offer a half-day session as all of the children there stay for the whole day.

This whole experiences has made me want to open my own kindy/nursery. But I want to do a Master degree first before I could proceed with my dream. Plus I want to equip myself with the knowledge before I can venture in that kind of business.

What about those who have children in kindergartens now? Could you share with me some of your experiences? After 2 years + of dealing and learning about pre-school education from the playcentre in New Zealand, I'm a bit overwhelmed with this new discovery here in Malaysia. In NZ, they emphasis more on playing as that's how pre-schoo children learn. I remember when I attended kindy during my time, all we did was singing, dancing and learn a little bit of A,B, C. It's not a must for a 5 year old child to be able to readeither in BM or English. BUT NOW, it's a must that children in pre-school level are able to read both in BM and English. Once they enter the primary school level, their teachers won't start with A,B,C anymore or 1,2,3.

About Cultural Shocks and Being the Aliens.

Salam to all,

It's been about 5 days since we came back to Malaysia. We are still adjusting this new life as it seems that after 3 years, everything is quite alien to us. My kids are still struggling to adapt with the hot and humid climate. I myself can't denied that I'm adjusting myself TOO! dulu2 selalu kutuk2 mat saleh bila diaorg tak tahan panas. skrg bila diri sendiri rasa mcm mat saleh baru tahu. huhu Since my hubby is still in NZ, we are kind of waiting before we could really do things. However by today, I brought Fathini and Hafizah to view few kindergartens as Fathini has started to feel bored when she has to stay at home. We went to view 2 kindergartens nearby to where we stay. I received few cultural shocks and felt like the alien. WHY? Hmmm. Let's see:

  • the kindergarten fee is quite high.
  • the syllabus for pre-school children is so advanced nowadays.
  • there's one kindy that suggested to me to prepare to pay for after school sessions as Fathini might not be up to other 5-year-old level. mcm kelas tusyen tau utk budak2 tadika
  • Fathini is more fluent in English compared to BM, so we have no choice but to find a kindy that use English as their medium of instruction. kami dah ajar BM kat rumah tapi yelah mana nak sama dgn BM bhs buku kan. huhu
  • we feel like the aliens when we felt so left behind with what's happening around us and my kids asked me just now "Mama, what's 1Malaysia?".
Well, that's all that I can think of now. As I said before, I'm unable to be active in blogging like I used too at the moment because I have to wait until night time to borrow my SIL's laptop. Hopefully I'll be able to find the solution for this and resume as usual i.e. hopping to your blogs and read  your wonderful entries. Till then, just drop a comment or two here as usual. THANK YOU.

Home Sweet Home

Salam,

At this moment, we have arrived safely in Malaysia. We arrived on Friday night and the first thing that Fathini said to me was "Mama, it's so hot and sweaty". Hafizah was quite cranky and she was quite bored because the journey home took about 10 hours. She didn't want to walk when we had to go on board and also after we arrived in KLIA. So, I had to carry her with my other hand luggages. huhu nak tercabut tgn sbb Hafizah dah 10 kg lebih .

I'm sorry that I', not able to update my blog everyday now as I have to borrow my SIL laptop. Thus, I'm unable to write the continuation of my previous entry of "Malam Puisi Wuma". I have to figure out to start blogging actively maybe around next week. Till then, if you're interested to know me personally (see me in flesh and blood), why don't you join My Superkids/MBP Family Day next Sunday. Refers to mombloggersplanet.com.
