Salam,
Today we received a huge challenge in our kindy; An autistic kid. He's 3 years old and has never gone to other school before. His world is just his home and his mom's work place. His mother thinks that it's time for him to meet and play with other kids about his age. Before this, he stay at home with his grandma or sometimes his mom brings him to the canteen. (His mom operates the canteen).
I know that I don't have the experience at all in dealing with special kid. However, I'm willing to take up the challenge since the mother really asked for help. She wants to see her son can play and and stay in another environment where he can at least learn something.
I reckon the best step is always to observe and then trial and errors as nobody can really be the expert in dealing with special kids. Even our so called "normal" kids are also special in their own ways. Wish me luck and pray for me.
