To all women in the world.

Salam,

To all women in the world,
This poem is for you,
Cause you and I know who,
That appreciate us true and true,

For we never complain,
Always sacrifice in pain,
On sunny day or rain,

We will be happy,
When our loved ones are happy,
Simply a "thank you" can make us glee,
Or having a time for "me",

Let's keep on rocking,
Let's keep on working,
Let's just keep moving,
And then we shall thriving,

To all the women in the world,
Love yourself and pat on your back,
For all the wonderful jobs that we shall not forget,
And we shall always be glad.

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY

Love this poem. Let's read between the lines.

Salam,

I have to admit that poetry is one of my favourite subject since I was in Standard Six. After a sweet victory of winning a poem recital in my primary school (organized by my teachers), I've been inspired to learn more and also have tried to write my own poems. I really appreciate and adore great poems and of course poets. A great poem can touch and teach people about our life and it's not easy to be interpreted.

Today I want to share a great poem that I came across from 'I'm Muslim and I'm proud' page on FB:

.:: STAY HUMAN ::..

I have seen blood changing,
I have been a part of it.
Nothing is same like it was
Not even small, not even a bit.

I have seen Innocent selfless people got extinct
In front of my eyes,
Truth and purity got just vanished,
All I see around is lies.

I have seen World growing selfish day by day,
And here, No one cares.
He is dragged to NOT AGAIN,
To do good, if one dares.

I have seen the parents begging their kids,
And all the moral values got extinct
No friend is a 'friend',
Love is no more alive, I think.

I have seen the identity,
Being torn and twisted.
Everything is lost and the rest is
Like the sand in the hand fisted

I have seen the one skin changing
Into different color shades,
Pure heart does not matter
Evil is dominant and Nobility fades.

I have seen the bright days darker
and scarier than the nights,
Everything is directionless,
Souls are drowning in the tides

I have seen blood changing,
I have been a part of it.
Nothing is same like it was
Not even small, not even a bit.

I don wanna see any of this
I just wanna close my eyes,
Those people were lucky
Who survived when the world was nice.

I am in the middle of the sea,
Waiting for a better end
A ray of hope in this cold world,
Someone for this world to fend.

I close my eyes and
I picture a brighter day.
In this dark world,
A sparking light is for what I pray. !

Such a WASTE.

Such a WASTE

When you buy too much food,
Just because you are greedy,
It's such a WASTE.

When you spend too much time,
Sleeping or resting,
Just because you feel so tired,
It's such a WASTE.

When you talk about other people,
Pointing at their mistake,
Just because you think you are so perfect,
It's such a WASTE.

When you worry about insignificant things,
Just because you don't want to be left behind,
It's such a WASTE.

There are so many things,
Too much WASTE,
When we only have so little time,
The clock is always ticking,
BUT we sometimes fail to see,
SO,
Let's reduce the WASTE.

P/S: I hope this can be a little reminder to all of us. Read between the lines.

Being the best teacher means being the best actor?

Salam,

A classroom is like a stage play,
The best actor should be the teacher,
Active students are the supporting actors,
The passive students are the spectators,

Everyday is a new play,
It can be rehearsed by the main actor (teacher),
BUT  the other supporting actors don't have their lines,
They have to be spontaneous and act naturally,
The spectators are just there to absorb whatever they can,

Who is the director?
Definitely the teacher again because she can play different roles,
All this while that's what people expect from her,
At the end no reward is going to be worthwhile,
Except for personal satisfaction and gratitude from her students.

To Japanese People: WE ARE SORRY.

Salam,

WE ARE SORRY

Oh, how should I start this,
Of what we have amiss,
Just ignore some of us please,

For
 How insensitive we have been,
About the caricature that was seen,
How insulting it has been,
Even he apologized to sweep it clean,

For
How ignorant and without even thinking,
To give opinion blindly speaking,
Totally disrespectful and sounded like accusing,
For being negligence- Oh, How amusing!,
Thus,
On behalf of my countrymen,
Using the word in this virtual pen,
Only SORRY the word that I can,
To
use it though, it won't amend.

P/S: Please read between the lines and use your making inferences skill.

24 hours

Salam,

24 HOURS

24 is the number,
It seems so quick when it's over,
It's not that we don't remember,
that that's all we have, HOWEVER,

Time is never enough,
When we want to laugh,
Or when things get tough,
As life is always rough,

24 is whats been given,
Complaining and fretting won't be forgiven,
Though everything is always uneven,
Just our ambition and strength are the force of driven.

P/S: I just love to compose a-spur-of-the-moment poem. This poem has been composed in less than 30 minutes due to my dilemma of delegating the 24-hour per day of doing all the daily tasks I need. What do you reckon about this poem?

Stress Out!

Salam,

Stress Out

Should I blame you,
Should I be so stress out,
Or maybe,
I just need to chill out,
BUT....
HOW?
If only I know,
How to go,
From teaching her so,
THAT,
Being a diaper-less kid,
Is what she need,
With lots of encouragement and a promise of a treat,
Hopefully this episode will end pretty neat.

P/S: The poem is just a way to channel my frustration and stress in toilet-training Hafizah now. It has been her third day and she still pee at the kitchen every morning and poo in her training pant. huhu

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.

Salam,

If you have been following my blog, you would notice that one of my passions is on poem. I started to love poems since I was in primary school under my aunt Salmah's influence. She was the one who introduced me to poems and she even helped me to win the first place in the Poem Rendering Contest after UPSR examination. I love all poems either they are in BM or English.

Here is one of the most memorable poems that I've learnt from my beloved ex-lecturer, Mr. John B. Greig. I remember that he was so emotional and rendered the poem with his full expressions. Why don't we look at the poem and then I'll let you decide whether the poem has any effects on you or not.

"I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud"

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed---and gazed---but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

If only I could be in two places......

Salam,

This is just again a spur-of-the-moment poem to describe my feeling now. After almost 4 years celebrating Eidul Fitr in Hamilton, NZ, my family members (especially my siblings) are so happy that we can celebrate Eid with them this year. However, I feel so incomplete without my darling hubby who is now battling and trying so hard to finish his phd in Waikato Uni. in NZ. For those who have the same experiences or have been in the same boat before, I reckon you can relate to how I feel right now.

If only I could be in two places

If only I could be in two places,
I would be happy to,
I would try my best to,
I wouldn't feel so torn,
I wouldn't feel so down,

I would love to be with you- my darling,
So I could kiss your hand and ask forgiveness,
I could prepare your favourite meal,
I could share your ups and downs with your experiments,

At the same time,

I would love to be there for my beloved siblings,
To share our happiness and sadness,
To experience Eid without our mum,
To still be grateful that we have each other,

And I..........
Could only wish,
Could only say If,
BUT
the fact is.........
This is just a small test from Allah,
For only HE KNOWS,
EVERYTHING.

SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE

Salam,

SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE

Slow down or pause when you feel stressed,
When you think you have very little time,
When you burning a midnight oil,
When you are working on the eleventh-hour,
When you reckon there's no tomorrow for you,
When you almost losing your patience,
Losing your mind,
Losing all the things you own,
Losing everything you love,
Desperately searching for answers or solutions,

BECAUSE....
By slowing down or pausing,
You would save more time,
You would save your sanity,
You would save everything,

SO...
Just try and see,
What happens if you just,
SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE.

This is just a-spur-of-the-moment poem for everybody. I love to write poems and this has been my passion since I was in primary school. (though I started reading or reciting poems in my first language-Bahasa Melayu). I hope everybody can enjoy and read between the lines.
