Salam,

I love to read Molly's blog. She has so many interesting ideas and stories that she love to share. Today, she has challenged the readers of her blog to write up a list about what are the things that young kids should be banned from. If you want to see her list, please GO HERE.

So, here is my list;
 Young kids should be banned from:

1. Going to bed so late.
2. Watching unsuitable movies, dramas or even disturbing commercials.
3. Eating too much fast food.
4. Owning any latest gadgets because they don't know the limit.
5. Having their mothers to do all the things for them.
6. Being rude to older people.
7. Picking up the abusive language.
8. Memorising without understanding what they are learning about.
9. Having the access to the internet without their parents supervision.
10. Being a couch potato.

All right. I guess those are the things that I can think of for now. I'm inviting you to come up with your own list or just continue from my list there. It's going to be interesting to read your ideas too. THANKS MOLLY for the tag.

I love my blog: Everything about my blog & Happy New Year 2011

I've received a tag from Mummy Yen (a.k.a. Sati) yesterday. Since it's been quite sometime since I last did a tag, I'm honoured to do this tag too. Before I start answering the questions (which were in BM but I want to translate it to Eng.- pardon me!), I want to wish everybody HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011. Hopefully all of your last new year's resolutions have been achieved. If not, we should try our best to achieve them during this coming new year. I'm sorry I can't reveal my new year's resolutions for next year as I also still have some old resolutions that I couldn't achieved due to some factors.

Okay. Let's go to the first question:

1.  What's the history of the blog's name and the story behind the header and background?

      The original name for this blog was "A Temporary Housewife" because I was a temporary housewife for 3 1/2 years when I was in New Zealand. After I came back to Malaysia, I had to change the name since I started to working again in my old workplace. I organized a simple contest and Molly won it when she suggested  "Transformed Housewife". The header- well it's brand new, courtesy from K.Yong. The background, I chose the simplest background from blogger.

2. How frequent do you update your blog?

    I try to update it almost everyday. But there were times when I was so busy with other things, I missed  publishing any entries. I love tIo share my experiences as a mother of two, experiences as an English teacher, my passion in poetry either in English or BM and also current issues.

3. Why do you want to blog?

    I started off my journey back in May 2009. My younger sis, Yatie Chomeyl was the one who introduced
and encouraged me to have a blog in order to cure my boredom spending 24-7 at home when I was a housewife. I love being busy and when I had so much time in my hand, I was a bit clueless of how to fill up my time wisely. So, after I finished with all the household chores and my daughters were taking the afternoon nap, I would spent my time in front of the pc. WHY? I just love the idea of sharing with the others what you know, what you have experienced, what you think and maybe if you are influential enough, you can also convince people to change.

4. List down 5 things about your blog.

    One-   The main language is English. BUT sometimes I also write in Bahasa Melayu.
    Two-   It's not just for mommies but everybody who likes to read my entries.
    Three- It has been transformed so many times. (like other blogs- I guess)
    Four-   The content mostly about my passions in languages (not just English), literature and also ECE
                because I had the first hand experiences when I was actively involved in Peachgrove Playcentre in
                Hamilton, New Zealand.
    Five-    Never had a sticky post since I haven't succeeded yet in doing it. LOL (yes- you can laugh at me)

5.  List down 5 the best entries in your blog.

    Only FIVE? hehehee (as if I have so many :P)
     So......................Here we go:
     One-      Waybuloo: Not a suitable program for Muslim kids.
     Two-      Hafizah and her eczema problem
     Three-    Nak buat burger patties sendiri?
     Four-     I want to jump, teacher! & Mama, open the tv.

6.  List down 3 unforgettable memories since you start blogging.

    One-    The first time I wrote an entry in May 2009. It was about "Autumn" in Hamilton, New Zealand.
    Two-    The first time I won the first prize in a contest.
    Three-  The first time I received a tag. The only problem is I can't remember what is it all about. hehe

7.  List down 10 of your favourite blogs.

    It's hard to list down only 10 but I can tell you everyday it's a must for me to check out these blogs:
    Yatie Chomeyl, K.Yong, Isabelle, Fid, Mommy Lyna, GTO, Diyana, Hamizah, fa10 and of course Mummy Yen (or Sati). 

8. How much do you love your blog?

   I love it so much that I can't sleep or eat well if I don't update or even check out my bog almost everyday.
   (WHAT? You can't believe it? It's up to you. hehehe)

9. 3 reasons why other people should always visit your blog?

  One-     I'll try my best to share something valuable almost everyday.
  Two-    I love to read any kind of comments; be it negative or positive.
  Three-  Come and pick up one or two new vocab in English as I know that I don't really use any slang and
               I always try my best to use the standard English. (YUP- it might sound so boring to some people
               but I just can't help it- So, pardon me again)

FUHHHH..................I hope you didn't feel so bored reading this entry from start to finish. What a 
way to end this year (2010). Basically while writing up this entry, there are only about 10 minutes left before the year 2011. I had to take some time to type out this entry as the internet connection was so crazy today. SO..........................if there's any of you, would like to do this tag, you are most welcome. What should I tell? Ti, you know all my secrects! huhu. Should I share other things, let's see.

• Can lose my temper easily but I've tried to control it as I'm aging. tua sgt ke
• Love to do baking and cooking now. kalau tak masak susah nak mkn kat sini
• Afraid of mice, rats and any animals that has furs. (a kind of phobia!)
• Quite adventureous in tasting various types of food.
• Used to be a serious motor bike rider as it was my main transport when I was studying in the university. bukan minah rempit ye.
• Love to learn martial arts. That's why I joined taekwondo (from 1995-2001) and learn a bit of silat when I participated once in SUKEM (UKM's internal sports tournament). sampai putus ligamen2 kat lutut kiri dan sakit2 bila masa sejuk sgt2 sampai skrg.
• Might be understood as being "snobbish" or "arrogant". But the fact is I can be shy when it comes to strangers and I like to take my own sweet time to get use to new friends. Once you've become my friends, I wouldn't forget you easily.

             At first I was a bit hesitated to do this tagging game. In January, my sis Yatie did this tagging game and tagged everybody who read the entry. I thought that since she already knew most of my personal secrets, (dah adik-beradik kan kami mmg simpan rahsia masing2) I didn't have to do this.

1. Where and when did you first meet your hubby?

          At Pulau Pangkor during the Taekwondo Club (PPP/ITM) trip in 1997.I was 19 and

          he was 18. aah my hubby lg muda tapi I pun awet muda.heheheh

          bila tulis tarikh baru sedar dah lama giler kenal dan kami dah tua. huhu

   

   2. Love at first sight?
      

       Maybe and yeap. We had a long conversation during the cooking sessions since we were

       in the same group. But before that, I heard from the other girls that hubby was a bit shy and 

       didn't like to talk to girls. kira tererla I boleh bual lama2 dgn dia lps tu dia pun layan je. hehe

   3. Who is he when the first time you met him?
  

       My junior and all of his coursemates called me "Kakak". He's the only one who refused to call 

       me "kakak". dah dia dah berkenan kot takkan nak panggil I kakak. haha

   4. How long did he take to ask you out?

      Hmmmm. It would be never bcs I asked him out first. Why? Refer to the next question.


  5. First place dating?
     

      @ KFC Seksyen 18, Shah Alam. It was not really a date bcs my real intention asking him out

      was to ask him a favour. We were due to go to the grading test the next day and I was still 

      clueless about the patterns. He was better than me so I asked him to teach me.

      (tak percaya? betul2 labu. SUMPAH! I tak de niat nak keluar date sbb mula2 siap ajak kwn 

      teman tapi my friend pulak canceled last minute.)

   6. How did he proposed?
  

      It was not him who proposed! It was his uncle who went to my aunt's house in Kulim. 

     (tu pun lps dengar ada ramai my sedara mara yg merisik I masa balik raya. dia pun 

      takut I melepas ke tgn org lain. hahah.)

   7. Special dates with your hubby?
  

      Too many: First time we met: 20 Sept. 1997.

                      Engagement date: 12 Feb. 2002.

                      Wedding date: 28 Nov. 2003.

                      (tarikh yg lain2 tu dah tak ingat sgt sbb yelah 13 thn yg dulu. rasa zmn tok kadok lak)

 
   8. Changes that he asked you to do?
 

       Less sulking and more cooking. 

      (sulking tu tak leh nak buat apa sbb nka merajuk dgn siapa lg kalau tak dgn hubby)

   9. What's about him that you love so much?

       @ his extensive knowledge, his nerdness (I mmg minat mat nerd ok) and basically he 

        has some similar personalities to my abah.

  10. What's abt him you wish he would change?

       I wish he could be more romantic. 

       (yelah nak juga kdg2 dpt surprise. ni my birthday present pun I have to tell him what I want.

        hubby tak nak bazir kalau dia beli hadiah yg I tak suka)

  11. You will lose your mind and crack your head when he....

        Urge me to hurry up when we want to go out, or speed up my conversation with my friends

         as we need to leave esp at other people's house.
